When the only tool you have is a hammer every challenge begins to ....
    Quote by Abraham Maslow

    resemble a nail.

    Quote by Abraham Maslow

How would you re explain this saying in an everyday way; and how has it happened in another's life or your own?

For many liberals, the default solution is more government, bigger government, new government programs even if 20 similar programs already exist.
And if they propose a non-profit, they seek both donations from individuals and grants from the state - becoming extensions of it.
There is almost never a solution that isn't a bigger state intruding further into people's lives.

This such a cool question. In my life I have worked in and around the legal profession and was raised by two in the medical profession. Much more than in the olden days pretty much every lawyer has a very tight specialty. And so do doctors. If you go to a tax lawyer she sees problems with taxes. If you go to a neurologist they see physical problems with your brain. A personal injury attorney sees who is liable. If you go to a internist they see problems with your organs. Funny but if you get into construction the carpenter sees something wrong with the drywall and the drywaller sees something wrong with the studs.
My wife is in the flooring area of construction contracting. She cannot enter a structure with out commenting on the flooring. I am a romantic and can read really poorly written stuff and walk away pleased. Many of my friends here are serious writers they cannot walk away from a poorly written piece and be anything but critical. Bible thumpers see error in other peoples interpretation. Holistically spiritual people are interested in viewpoints.
A cool prayer would be; Lord let me see things from another's perspective.

What a fantastically uplifting response Eric Dierker.  I love the way you say you can enjoy even "poorly written stuff".  Methinks you have found the elixir of life, and you're even ready to share it.  What a personality!

This right, of course,we all see the world from our own perspective which stems from our own interests.  Perhaps once we are genuinely interested in other people's interest we could willing repeat that prayer.

Sounds a bit like the American Military.  Some one threw a hand grenade into a coffee shop - better send the Seventh Fleet.   The old use a Howitzer to shoot a rabbit syndrome.

The answer, instead of using a hammer, use a nail remover.
