You will find - if you have not already - that Consciousness changes from moment to moment, yet alone day to day. So different aspects of the word can be meaningful on different days. One person just spoke of fellowship, sharing the word ... all depends on what we seek, and this is very unique to the individual.
The basic tenants of Spirituality are Simplicity, Humility, Faith, Sincerity, Purity, Devotion, Service, Adulation or Praise, Surrender, Gratitude ... all should be done with a goal in mind: Inner or Abiding Satisfaction; Continuing Silence or Peace, Communion with God, Love ... (capitol letters)
So with that said, the best part of church is to hear that which can inspire; put fire in the Heart; aspire for the Love of God. This can be done with singing, praising, prayers, an awareness of the Spirit of words in preaching and communing with like-minded folks.
Why are we going to church? To praise God and find the Light within? To cleanse ourselves from worldly fervour? To interact socially with our friends? We get what we put in. All are accountable. You ask such nice questions! Much Love.
