If you had the power and resources what positive thing would you do to better the world?
What would you change about the world if you had the authority and monetary resources to do so?
If I had the authority and resources I would build self sustainable communities all over the world geared at providing homeless, victims of domestic violence, foster children who age out of the system and those that have fallen on hard times a place to live worry free. Small homes with solar power and alternative heat sources in order to eliminate any utility bills. The only requirement would be a work exchange, gardening, groundskeeping etc in exchange for the home. All food would be raised and grown on site to aid in the self sufficiency of the communities.
You should read Jefferson Davis works on defending slavery. They are frighteningly similar. Please don't think I am suggesting that your idea is slavery but it is a different means to a similar end.
You have some noble ideas. Wouldn't it be nice if all DV could be eliminated in all its ugly forms. Hunger and lack of meaningful work that builds self-esteem, homelessness, and decent housing is sorely lacking for many. God's Kingdom is the solution
I think I should have elaborated further. The idea would be a non permanent situation to help people get on their feet while learning valuable gardening skills they could always fall back on. No worries, I am not one that gets offended
Reform Islam to become the religion of peace we keep saying it is but has yet to actually become.
This nearly ends all wars (20 of 21 today are Muslim vs non-Muslim or Muslim on Muslim today), 90% of honor killings, almost all terrorism, most female oppression by true patriarchies in the world (because Islam says women are half a man, she's always a man's property/ward, you can kill her if she disobeys or uncovers).
What a sad scenario and reality of the way Muslim woman are treated. No human or woman should be treated that way. The Bible at 1st Timothy 5:2 shows how God wants women to be treated, in a loving way.
The irony is how many feminists ignore the plight of Muslim women from female genital mutilation to honor killings, women who need basic rights, while focusing on true luxuries like 1/2 in the board room.
Far too many humans on the planet. I would focus all my resources on addressing human over population.
Because humans are centralized into certain areas of the earth it appears that the earth is overpopulated. However, there are areas on the earth, that if cultivated properly could comfortably accommodate everyone. Sadly humans don't have that ability
I would insure that no man, woman, or child would have to go to sleep hungry. In the process many other problems would have been resolved in order to make the end of hunger possible.
Demas, its funny that you said you would stop hunger. I was thinking the same thing. Hunger can be linked to crimes of theft, underdeveloped brains/minds and bodies, sickness, disease and death. Eliminating hunger would be at the top of my list.
