I was listening to a radio broadcast that got a question about whether the righteousness of Jesus Christ covers a sinner? The answer was that it covers only a repentant sinner. How does a sinner repent without the righteousness of Jesus Christ?Nobody can go to Jesus unless the Father draws him.Comments please.
I explain it the same way I explain the concept of the "called" and the "chosen"....
"Many are called but few are chosen"....
He calls everyone (draws all mankind to Him), then chooses those who show up for duty. Those who refuse to answer the call lose the opportunity to have their sins placed under His righteousness (His grace), even though He is perfectly capable of covering ALL sin. So, yes I agree with the answer you got from the radio broadcast.
