Hi there to all. I am new here and am just now starting to explore myself and my way of life.

I have always felt as if I do not belong in the life I have found myself and yet never knew what I was really missing. Just a gut wrenching feeling that something in my life is off and I am searching.

I have found myself upon paganism and find a peace within the information I am finding out there. Like maybe I am supposed to go down this road, just don't know how to find myself from here.

Wondering if anyone else has felt this way before and if so what have you done to assist yourself? Or if you are going through it now and if so if you don't mind sharing.

    Thanks

Welcome to the hub. Here you will find many opinions and lots of advice.
A lot of times, I like you, have felt like maybe I should have grown up in a different era or something. Many of the things in todays life I do not understand.
If you are searching, I am positive that you will find.
Paganism/witchcraft. Doesn't those words sound like bad things? Dirty words maybe? Native Americans are labeled as pagan. To me, it just makes good common sense. The way they lived. Sure, some things they did, I would not do, but as far as looking to the Creator and Nature for their survival, that, my friend is the way to do things. As with anything else, if you choose to follow paganism, be careful. There is good and bad in all.
Many have felt the way you are feeling now. And no one has the answers that you need. The answer lies within yourself.
Before you seek guidance, make a mental note of what you do and do not believe in.
I invite you to learn all you can learn about the way of the shaman or any other natives.
Nature is your friend, and will help sustain you along life's sometime not so beaten path.
The Bible, it is a great road map. It holds many truths.
      Good luck in your venture.

Dear, you, as you say, just have woken up, have a coffee smoke a joint, write a hub about this, and maybe one day at a time you'll find your way privately, not on a worldwide arena.  Best maybe to cherish your path with yourself.  I mean this in the kindest way smile

      Good Luck

@DrDean, you can relax on the posts, your avatar describes what you think.  Despite what I think, I do not know you nor judge you.  However I do judge anyone telling anyone or pushing anyone towards a belief of theirs, contact you if one should want to be christian?

I think their may be other resources, than your time is freed up to write.

      smile

side note-you both know each other and here less than 2 weeks no followers and no hubs

I am aware of the spam here, but understand

I just love babbling and babble I shall, smile

There is no need to make any kind of committment to something which you hardly know about.

Read, and read widely; explore the whole subject - which is a multi-faceted field of research.

The term "paganism" covers a huge area.  By definition, a Hindu is a pagan.  If witchcraft attracts you, then read about the numerous kinds of witchcraft - but also learn about other, related religions also, such as Druidry.

If you're young - and I could be wrong but from your post you sound young - then concentrating on finishing your formal education (if you haven't already done so) should take priority over all of this.  Get a job, be practical, build a life for yourself as you want it to be.  A witch who can't pay the bills is a pretty feeble witch.  Such practical skills are not as seperate from magical skills as many people tend to imagine.

Trust yourself, meditate, expose yourself to a variety of people and a variety of beliefs. There are wonderful books about Paganism that introduce you to the tremendous variety of Pagans out there: Like "Modern Pagans" and "Drawing Down the Moon." Go to community events and see if you feel like you are home or welcomed; those are good feelings, and maybe they will validate you, or maybe you will keep seeking.
