Jesus has nothing to do with the modern Christianity; it has been carved by the cunning Paul out of thin air, supported by the sinful non-believing scribes and misled Church.
It is better for the Christians to return to the original teachings of Jesus and Mary; and what the did.
That's ridiculous paar. What Mary within their religion is attributed to teaching anything? Set the quran down for once and read something else. Anything else. It would be enlightening
Paar does have a point about the teachings of Jesus as opposed to modern christianity, which does bear the mark of Pauline thought, which took the early church and made it acceptable to Rome. These concessions destroyed the fabric of the church early on.
Half a point is half a point. He would still need to explain what he's talking about on teachings of Mary.
I do agree. In some cases people disregard the message of Christ just because Paud said something else which at irst glance contradicts the teachings of Christ.
At least... as I understand it .
The Catholics do a lot in terms of charity, to alleviate suffering around the world. They also advocate against the death penalty.
Not to mention their wonderful outreach programs for Pedophilic Priests. Everybody...stand up and give the Vatican a hand!
The thread was to say something *nice*. Protestants with an axe to grind should be reminded that those in glass houses...
The nice thing for the Christians is that Jesus' Second Coming has taken place is the symbolic form of the Promised Messiah 1835-1908.
It is for this that inter-faith dialogue between different denomination, religions and non-believers atheists should be held in America, Canada and other countries of the West so that know this tiding.

Many get angry and hostile and the Christian premise that there is only one God.. Why? Christianity shares the promise of enternal life in heaven to all who choose Jesus. Why is that not appealing? Why are some so angry about Christianity?

Very rarely do I see a forum thread on Islam. I have not seen an atheist who has started a thread on Islam insulting Mohammed or Allah or just speaking out against them. Christianity and Jesus seem to be the target. I know it is because the US, for example, is considered a...

There's a lot of going back and forth about how Christians are this that or another. Yet no one ever pins down exactly what specific belief it is that makes Christians delusional, or hateful or whatever. The fact is that not all Christians believe the same thing, and not even members of our own...

There are many worldviews and religions in the world. Sometimes it seems like it is just a matter of picking one over another. Everyone has a worldview, and a philosophy they agree with most.I think, its a good idea to examine our own worldviews, and see if they stand the most critical...

Although some might counter that Hitler's admission to Christianity, by itself, does not make one a Christian, how else can an individual convey to another his religion except from their own confession? One of the tenants of Christian belief, indeed the definition of a Christian, comes from the...

I wonder if people took the 'religion' out of Christianity and started to live life according to Jesus' teachings, then people's opinions of Christians would change? Many wars have been started over religion, but I want to ask you, did Jesus kill anyone? I don't recall Him doing so. Or did...
