is it possible that religion is nothing more than an illusion and that depending on how you look at will determine your belief or lack of belief and this is for all religions
the above image is two pics of the mona lisa the most beautiful work of art ever her beauty her presents it is.....it speaks for its self
however if you turn the pic right way up well you will see what i mean as i said maybe that is all religion is an illusion???
Not really interesting enough to get a reply after 23 hours.
So here is my reply: Who cares what it is or what it isn't. Each person will CHOOSE to believe what they want to believe whether it exists or not, because it helps them cope with life to have some kind of purpose for existing.
I cant choose what I believe. I can only beleive that which has evidence.
How do you choose to believe in fairytales?
I'll never know.
How can you not believe in the world in which you live?
Do you believe in coincidences?
Errrm there is evidence for the world and coincidences.
mikeNV very harsh not nice the reason no reply is because it is not as easy as you make it out i am not questioning belief i am asking about the religion let me re phase it
is it possible to say that all religions are illusions the trick being look at it one way and you see a lie and look at it another way and you see turth?
i dont see anything in the question i asked saying any thing about belief so less of the nasty remakes all questions on this forum answered or not are interesting ALL without exception it is through others and thier views that we learn........
I see no logical reason why any particular religion should be elevated above others. My God is better than your God? People find their own way in life. As long as they're nice people that's the main thing.

To what degree are we actually able to choose our beliefs or lack thereof?I've often been told that I should choose this religion or that faith or choose to believe in something rather than not, but I don't necessarily think beliefs are an active choice. You cannot choose to disbelieve...

why haven't you accepted Jesus and ask God to fill you with His spirit and find out for yourself that it is true? Why haven't you decided to choose to believe and ask for His Holy Spirit in Jesus name and prove it to yourself? This is the only way your doubt of God and Jesus will be proven wrong to...

This is a hypothetical question. If in fact whatever religion you happen to believe in was not true, what would it take to persuade you? Obviously, the more severe the charge, the more evidence we demand in order to accept it. For example, if your buddy told you he had Chinese for dinner last...

Before I go into this discussion, we all need to understand that I am not a scientist, I am not a prophet, and I am not an expert on the topic. I am merely trying to offer my belief in how atheism occurs. And why some of you might not like what I am about to say, understand that it is not meant as...

Okay, I've really taken an interest in the forums for the last few days as I need something to keep my mind off of something. I've noticed a few things and came up with a few theories on HubPages groupthink. Thought it be fun to test them out, so here goes:I, technically, am a Unitarian...

Life on Earth; what a letdown! We don't ask to be born but here we are anyway, pushed into a world where you get bossed around for approximately 80 years before crumpling up and dying. It doesn't seem fair. Then, to add insult to injury, people keep on trying to find a point in this lousy...
