Would you still feel there is a higher power greater than yourself?
Someone as pretty as you couldnt appear just by chance, surely?
Well I would have to cut the number of hubs I wrote in half.
I believe in the possibility, with or without text.
"What if there were no religious text to quote from?"
They made it up before, so they would just make it up again.
I will answer this from personal experience.
Before I knew there was a bible, a Christian or any other particular religious belief system I knew that God existed.
I recall at a very young age understanding innately that God existed.
Not in a fairy tale Santa Claus and Fairy kind of way but in a very conscious way. I can't explain. I can only tell you I just knew God existed.
I was not raised in a Christian home.
Religions are at their base the expressions of human beings for something we all innately understand.
I probably answered the question already.
Yes I would know that there is a higher power greater than myself like all human beings know. With or without text.
I believe in the possibility too ...regardless of text.
However I know how it means a great deal to some.
And that is why I have become a kinder, gentler paradigmsearch in regards to the religion forums.

This won't last long I was just now thinking that it seems to me, every arguement that atheists make against the existence of god aren't directly related to that issue. Their arguements are against the descriptions of that God AS DEPICTED ...

After death, do bad people go to hell and good people go to heaven? Or they reincarnate into some other form of life?

What are the most annoying responses Christians give to questions atheists ask?I'm a christian and I think that it would be helpful in ministry, if Christians new a bit more about how atheists felt about a Christian's rebuttal

What is the difference between a religious person and spiritual person?Where that question leads to is can a spiritual person be a Christian? In other words, does a Christian have to be religious?
