I always observe that if we talk of our own beliefs, some attact or criticize and it is hard for us that someone step down on our belief...later, creates disagreement and may lead to war as we knew it in world history.
We Christians have a saying 'God is the judge.'
Now I know I've not been perfect in attempting to be respectful, and I do like to have fun [some are just hateful, lol].
But.... the saying means it's not anyone on earths place to condemn anyone else. Tell what we believe is right, maybe come to disagree completely, maybe.. But be respectful and loving.
Our [the Christians] King, Jesus Christ, said to love our enemies and to do good to them. [I'm 'slowly' getting better, the forums can rub off]
I will say I'm unmoving in that I won't budge on my belief, but there's many of us in that regard. If anyone claiming Christianity kills anyone because they 'don't believe in Christ' they are disobeying Christ's very orders to His servants. Therefore the war we fight is simply making sure everyone gets a chance to see the facts and choose themselves whether they want to accept Jesus Christ or not. We want nothing more than for people to have the right to choose themselves.
If people try to silence us, why is that? We teach love and Jesus.
Now I do come to the forums to debate and pick and have fun as well.
BUT - All I, and any other true Christian, wants is for people to have a chance to choose if they haven't already chose, and the for them to have access to the records regarding Jesus Christ and His teachings.
Everyone has a right to know.
They are all allowed to search for truth as well.
Since when was it ok to keep information about anything from people anyway?
That's like trying to ban shakespeare, The odyssey, greek history, and museums for that matter.. If they are allowed to hide what they don't like from everyone, how is freedom of speech valid?
Just my take.
That is a speech! Bravo! With the love of God, all things were created.
Admitting to fighting a war to make sure your religion is evangelized only shows you contradict yourself and could care less for what others want and only wish to shove down their throats what YOU want.
Very simple and I can explain it easily for you. People have their own wants and needs and are not interested in have YOUR wants and needs shoved down their throats. Do you understand?
Everything you have access to can be accessed by others who can read it and make their own choices. No one needs you to make choices for them. Do you understand?
No, that's like trying to shove Shakespeare, The Odyssey, Greek history and museums down everyone throats when they didn't ask for them and are quite able to read those works and visit museums entirely on their own without YOU demanding they make a choice. Do you understand?
I am not attempting to make YOU do anything.
Why do you want to force ME to do something.
I am my own person, and no one is obligated to listen to me.
You are your own person and can do what you like.
But you don't just say what you think
You ATTEMPT to tell us to stop talking about what we think.
You should quit trying to make people do what you want..
You are causing conflict, as you are trying to control what other people have the right to do with their own mouths.
It IS after all MY mouth, MY brain, and MY fingers typing.
No one is making you accept anything. You can leave, and read none of this. Are you trying to tell me I'm MAKING you believe what I believe?
You're talking like a child.
Like all the other children I've had to listen to who are rude and attempt to make other people do what they want. Stop talking.
I WILL NOT stop talking about what I believe, and I have such a right.
Would you like to tell me what happens when people want to MAKE other people do things against their will?
Here, I'll tell you... They are made into slaves.
I am NOT your slave, or your servant. I am a person who believes in Jesus Christ and I'll talk about Him until I die.
Accepting Him or not is YOUR choice.
And so is reading or listening to what I say.
Now you do what you want with YOUR mouth and fingers and brain.
And I'll take care of what is MINE.
You are evangelizing your religion because you want me to make a choice.
I don't want to force you to DO something, I want you to stop evangelizing your religion.
You're not obligated to say anything in the first place.
But, I don't go around evangelizing religion telling people they need to make a choice with Jesus. It's called respect.
No, the attempt is to stop evangelizing your religion, which is very different from talking about what you believe.
Only after Christians stop evangelizing their religion.
The hypocrite speaks. Aren't YOU the one evangelizing your religion, telling other people what to do, trying to control their rights? Hilarious.
You're evangelizing your religion, which means you're demanding others make a choice. Why should anyone have to leave just because you wish to fulfill your selfish desires?
So, you want me to stop talking because...
... you have the right to evangelize our religion and you will never stop it. The hypocrite speaks again.
Conflict and wars, which is exactly what evangelizing Christianity has brought to the world.
The hypocrite speaks once again.
You can believe whatever you want, just keep it behind closed doors where it belongs and not out in the public eye.
Stop evangelizing and demanding we make a choice, that is not your right to do so. It is selfish and disrespectful to others who have a mind of their own and don't need you to tell them what to believe.
Do you understand?
You're a broken record and you enjoy persecuting people.
I have demanded nothing of you, and you're still repeating your parot talk.
It IS my right to freely speak. You stop telling me I have no rights.
Is this a joke? You think you can tell people not to talk? Keep dreaming.
Go on, keep being ugly because you personally chose to read something no one forced you to. You sound RIDICULOUS...
Yes, I see..
You do not understand.
Speaking freely and evangelizing your religion are two different things.
That's exactly what happens when religions are evangelized and shoved down everyone's throat.
John, My faith will stand strong regardless of who attempt to attack it. God's overflowing love is the greatest!
People speak up and speak out. Ongoing communication is the best way to avoid physical violence.
But, since you bring up history, let's think about it. Historically, when the religious gain power, what do they do? They persecute any who don't agree with them. (check out the Middle East for modern examples) They become despots, no different from any other tyrannical ruler. So, if we don't speak out in free nations religion may gain more power than any of us would ultimately be comfortable with.
That is when anyone gets power Emile.
It's the power that corrupts people.
But vector, it is the desire for power that drives religion. It is evident in the posts of the most devout believers.
Ha ha..
Yes.. I agree it shines from the posts.
But it's not from Christ's teaching. He teaches and lived exactly opposite.
It's fools like me who don't listen and live what Christ taught and don't do what He says.
I, just 2 seconds ago, was shown my error by my Father.
I cannot speak for other Religions as I don't believe in any of them.
I do want to serve God, but have been doing it wrong. God is not seen through logic but through the people He lives within and the Word He gave us to read. And through personal prayer.
I stand by what I said though. It is the power that corrupts people.
In my research I have learned a lot of knowledge and logic, but attempting to prove God through the 'power' of the knowledge changed me..
Power currupts. I could have, and have often, proven this or that person wrong - and what I've said may altogether be true, but it is not what Christ told me to do. Or any ANY way how He said to do it.
I was wrong, and have been most of my days in the forums at hubpages.
Power currupted me, no matter how little..
I hope to look to God and through His eyes now. That I might do things right and, it is my hope, that instead of 'proving' God to people that they may see Him through me. In every way I should be reflecting my Lord and God Jesus Christ.
That people might see more of Him, and less of me..
And I really like you Emile. Views set aside, you've become one of my favorites.
You are sweet. And, I agree. It is by our actions that we best showcase the power of our philosophy on what may or may not lie beyond. Because, honestly, if there is any truth to what you say and believe; every person driven away by the actions and words of an evangelical bible thumper proves the evangelical doesn't possess the spirit that they claim to live in harmony with.
They are just frustrated Emile..
They probably had a dad from the war, and think you have to be hard and 'never give in'.. My old man is that way. It's the right attitude, wrong way to go about it.
Kind. Gentle. Loving.
Just like Christ. We're all learning though.
The OP asks, "why do people get trouble and conflicts arise?"
Answer: I don't know, ATM just shows up, ask him.

Why do Christians feel the need to tell us about their religious beliefs?I don't have a problem with Christianity or any religion for that matter, but I view religion/spirituality as a personal and privvate matter and feel that it's best kept that way unless one is specifically asked to expand on...

Believe in Jesus Christ, what do you have to lose?If the bible is true, and it is, faith in Jesus Christ promises an abundant life now and for eternity. Jesus came to give us something not take something away. So what do you have to lose?

In Christianity, do non believers go to hell? What happens to the people that believe in another religion and another God. If the Christian God is the only true God, then are those people damned?

There's a lot of going back and forth about how Christians are this that or another. Yet no one ever pins down exactly what specific belief it is that makes Christians delusional, or hateful or whatever. The fact is that not all Christians believe the same thing, and not even members of our own...

Can anyone really argue against a faith based belief?A good friend of mine was just trying to dissuade me from my beliefs. And he was quite good and convincing. But alas we agreed that if my beliefs were founded in my faith then arguing was pointless and that it was just the way it is. And likewise...

After reading through the religion forum, I see a lot of different views, but I also see some that are very much the same. What I am curious about is this ... are we all mostly different, or are we preaching the same message from different mouths?Only one way to find out ...I just want to know the...
