Who should be NFL Americas team? Do you agree that it should be still the Dallas Cowboys?

Football is part of what is it to be an American.

It has been sixteen years since they had their last appearance in Superbowl. It is about winning, do you agree?

Which team should be Americas team instead?

No, I don't think they should be "America's Team".  Honestly, I don't think that there should be an "America's Team".  It is kind of a dumb thing to say, because there is not one team that everyone in America likes.  Some people might say that it should be the Steelers, or Packers, or even the Redskins based on where they are from.  I think that everyone should be allowed to like who they want, and not have stupid things thrown in their face, as to why they should like another team.  Yes, there is the, "You live in this place, you should like this team" thing, but really, you should not be forced to like a team, just because many people around you do.  Thank you for bringing this up.  I had forgotten about it, but I still wanted to put in my 2 cents about it.

America is a winner. The Cowboys are not. At least not in recent memory.

I would go with the team that has danced with Tiffany the most (has the most Lombardi Trophies).

I agree with number2son, there is not an "America's team & i've never looked at the Cowboys as being in that category.

It has to be the Dallas Cowboys. After all, whether its their success or failure, they are always talked about in the media or by us as sports fans. The other thing is the hard-working people at NFL Films gave the Dallas Cowboys the name, "America's Team." They were first called that because back in the days of Tom Landry, Cowboys fans traveled everywhere the team went to play.

Hey, everyone has a right to their opinion.  If you disagree that's fine.  I, personally, don't think that there should be an "America's Team".

You know how it is in sports, when a nickname sticks, it tends to stick around for a very long time.

Yep, I just think that this one should be gotten rid of.

Stephen A. Smith said on "First Take" today that the Cowboys are America's Joke not America's Team. Hey, don't blame me, he said it.
