When did woman (of any culture) first become involved in sports/athletics?
776 B.C. - The first Olympics are held in ancient Greece. Women are excluded, so they compete every four years in their own Games of Hera, to honor the Greek goddess who ruled over women and the earth.
While a deal with athletic men, especially after the 1914-18 World War II, women are increasingly concentrated in a format that witnessed participation.
