How do I best tell RV owners about a recall on the trailers that are very
We have recently had a very damaging fire to our Travel Trailer, we did not know until the fire that the refrigerator has a recall for the last five yearsl. We should have been notified but we were not. Our neighbors heard the explosion and woke us up in the early morning or we would be dead now. When you up Forrest River, Wildcat on the internet it gives you all sorts of recall info on the Dominic and the Norcold Refrigerators causing fires the Transpotation was notified about the problem but we were not. What are they supposed to do. Pleaselook up recalls on tour equipment.
The place where you bought the RV should be notifying customers of this recall. Or, better yet the manufacture of the RV should take responsibility to send owners of these RV's recall notices in the mail.
If you want to notify owners of this problem I think the best way is to contact the B.B.B (better business bureau), and have them look into it as well. Or, stop by RV retailers and inform them of this issue.
This sounds like it could be life threatening, what if you were asleep inside there? Thankfully you weren't.
