If you are a single sandwiched between twosomes do you automatically have to join one of them?
You make a tee time as a single, and the starter says, no problem, the course is quiet today. You start your round and eventually catch up to a super-slow (walking) two-some. Behind you, a super-fast twosome in a cart starts to invade your playing space. You are halfway through the round. Do you feel that you are morally compelled to join one of the twosomes, or can you continue to play as a single with impunity?
It depends on the rules of your club. At mine the starter would indicate you have to join a group or one group would just ask you. It's very social and if you are by yourself you just wind up running into the group in front and having to wait.
