So Miami can lose to the Virginia Tech 7-31, managing only 209 yards of TOTAL offense, including only 59 on the ground and then beat an Oklahoma Sooners' squad, ranked #8 in the country? OK, only one word can describe the 2009 Miami Hurricanes, actually 2: "inconistent" and "erratic".

It's a pretty young Miami team, so some inconsistent play is to be expected, especially on the road.  As the team matures, I think you'll see them settle down and play more consistently.  This was a big win against Oklahoma.

Shannon has the program going in the right direction - The best they have looked in a long time.  I know it's a contract year for him, so I hope they get it done before all the verbal commitments come out from this year's recruiting class.  It's tough to recruit when there is uncertainty around the head coach returning and they are still building.
