Are "organized" sports ruining our kids?

When I was a kid we played lots and lots of sports but we didn't play "organized" sports much. When we wanted to play baseball we had to go out and round up enough kids to play a game (anyone remember "no right field" if you didn't have enough players?). Now I see too many parents appearing ruining the sports experience for kids. Were kids better off when our parents didn't want to be involved in our play?

The " everyone is a winner" is what ruins kids. Parents want little Suzy to get a trophy for the 100 meter dash even if she weighs 300 lbs. There is no need to try to get better. It shows throughout society, as people expect someone else to pay their way.
