How was your experience? Do you like it?

In Nepal - with a travel group, we had a full camp of 12 yurts near a glacier and the deepest lake in the country.  I remember a local kid having a pool table attached to his bike. He stopped and challenged anyone to play him for money. I lost, he won. Fun!!  David

Hi Russell, good to hear from you. Were they already set up or do you have to set them up? How big are they? Thanks.

Used to share a yurt in Kazachstan with other travellers in the time of Soviet Union when I was studying Russian Literature in Russia and tried to explore little bit other republics during school holidays.

How does it compare to a regular tent? Thanks for sharing your experience.

The Mongolians still use them to live in, my stepfather lived in one with Mongolian family, when he worked there as a doctor. He described it as a wooden round structure with heating in the middle, covered with animal skin. I slept in smaller one.
