Do you like the NFL overtime rules or the NCAA rule?

Both are exciting but I like the College system.

Yeah, thanks a lot for reminding me of the Steelers loss to the Broncos in the playoffs last season. I don't like the college overtime rules. It becomes too often dueling field goals. A team is almost guaranteed a field goal unless they lose yardage or turn the ball over. I must admit though, that Pitt at Notre Dame game was exciting.

Yea that game was crazy though I thought Notre Dame should have fallen in the rankings. I think the media loves them and the television networks really want them in the National Title game. I don't believe this your undefeated and your the best.

I personally like the NFL's overtime rules better. I'm a firm believer that if you can't get it done during regulation time, it's not a strong win and the game should go to whoever can be the toughest in a short amount of time. With their new rules, both teams get a fair enough shot at taking the win- giving each team a possession and keeping the fans on edge if the first team makes a field goal. It's much more exciting than a drawn out game with inexperienced players dragging the game on for hours.

Hey, now that was a wild and crazy overtime game yesterday between the Rams and the 49ers. It's even exciting when it ends up a tie.

I agree BlackandGoldJack, yesterdays Rams-49ers OT was exciting,. I think   the best way to do it would be to eliminate sudden death. Play a full 10 or 15 minute OT and who ever is in front at the end of the OT is the winner. NBA style.

I love the College system but the stats would be so inflated in the NFL could you imagine a game tied between the Patriots and Saints? How many points they could put up on the board? Games would last forever as they do sometimes in College. I am happy and content with the new NFL setup where a team must score a touchdown to end the game in overtime and if they kick a field goal the other team has a chance to win the game. I am not a big fan of the field goal in general as I would be happy that you had to go with the 2 point conversion on every play!
