Does Mark McGwire deserve to be in the Hall of Fame?
My opinion is absolutely not. He clearly benefitted from juicing and his performance in front of Congress was disgraceful. I would vote in Bonds and Clemens, but no one else from that era.
Sorry for the lack of detail, Mick. I forget that Hub Pages is international. It's the Baseball Hall of Fame. He became the poster boy for steroid use. In 1998, he set the record for most home runs in a season. Then that was bested by Barry Bonds.
I would say that if he were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame by cheating in his sport, then he should be removed.
Before the steroids scandal I would've said yes. I have to say no, besides the home runs he really seemed to be one dimensional.
No! Neither does Barry Bonds! As far as I am concerned, the all-time home-run champ is Hank Aaron with 755 (the Babe is 2nd with 714). The single season home-run champ is Roger Maris with 61 (again, the Babe is 2nd with 60).

Should Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, and Sammy Sosa be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame? The Baseball Hall of Fame ballot for 2013 was just released. Given these players alleged steroid involvement, should they be voted in the Hall?

Which sports players deserve entrance into their Hall of Fame the most?So many great players in sports history have yet to hear their names called to the Hall of Fame. Which one stands out to you the most?

Does Don Mattingly deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? Now I know he does not have the numbers, but I'm not a stats guy. I go by what I saw and he was a great Yankee. Yes, it matters if you play in New York. The pressure is that much greater. A .300 average in NY is like a .325 average in Kansas...

Luke Donald won the PGA tour money list and the European tour money list, both in the same year. If he doesn't win a major is this historic feat worthy of the golf hall of fame?

Will Roger Clemens get into the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot?Give a detailed answer.

He was caught gambling. He has been permanently banned from baseball including the Hall of Fame. Is this a fair punishment? Are there other players who have committed worse crimes who are not banned from the game or the Hall of Fame? Should they be banned?
