Ice hockey is my favorite sport. Not only is it fast and fun; it is also significantly good for your brain and highly aerobic. It does require some discipline and patience in the beginning to learn how to skate properly; however, once you know how to skate the reward is significant. I am in my 49th year of playing ice hockey...
Wow! in your 49th year, that's awesome! I've only ever played street hockey and that was fun. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
Yes I began to play when I was 4 and now I think my motto will be, skate or die...
since there is no snow in malaysia, our favorite sport is either badminton or bowling, but i prefer badminton, get to exercise the whole body and start to groan, moan the next day!
My favorite sport to play is baseball. I played baseball through high school and college, and loved the excitement of never knowing what the next play would have in store. It also kept me in good shape, which is a huge plus.
My favorite sport to watch, however, is football. There just seems to be more to root for. I also like there being more than one way to score. Unlike baseball, where you score only one way; by crossing the plate. With football, you can score several different ways, and I just love watching the plays being executed from a birds eyes point of view.
Baseball is my favorite sport for many reasons: Baseball has the best fans in the world. Look at the Red Sox; they dash their fans' hopes and dreams year after year, and look at them now. They are the odds-on favorite to make it to the World Series every season now. Any team can make a comeback at any time. Baseball has the only All-Star Game that matters. Baseball is the only sport in which the team that is winning must continue to play the game. The trade deadline is almost like a holiday. History is made every season. No matter what, we are guaranteed to see a player reach a milestone in his career every season. No other sport honors its greats like baseball does. There is no clock in baseball, so that means that as long as a team is willing to fight, they are still in the game. It just seems like the All-American sport to me.
Wow! Thank you for your great insight and comments. Baseball too, is my favorite sport for all the reasons you mentioned and more. I can't wait for spring time again. I miss baseball.
Thanks so much, Patrick! I love spring for many reasons, and baseball is one.
