It's a pretty broad question, but i play Soccer and used to play competitive Badminton. Badminton requires a high level of fitness, as do most sports. Any ball sport is great, as you are too busy chasing it, or your opponent around to notice how much exercise you are getting. Team sports are great too as they require commitment and are great socially. Cheers.

    Any sport that you like.

You need to stay motivated and focused when playing sports so you can get the most out of it. Avoiding injury and not wearing your body down should be part of your decision. Swimming is one of the best activities for staying fit and building/maintaining a healthy body while avoiding and recovering from injuries.

More than the sports a daily exercise regimen is necessary  - walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling, skipping - any one or two among the above done regularly (once or twice in a day) is more than sufficient to keep oneself fit.

The sport that you love the most, that doesn't tear up on your body too much. I play soccer and do yoga on the side, and the combination keeps me in great shape. On the other hand, my husband is a large, muscular guy, so his sports were boxing, hockey, and football -- which he now regrets more than anything, because his knees are completely shot. He was supposed to be in a wheelchair 12 years ago according to the doctors, but he's just too darn stubborn to allow that tongue.

Obviously, there are many sports that will keep your body fit, but I personally prefer basketball.  It pretty much works every muscle in your body if you play it the right way.

It depends how old you are.  A young person could play almost any sport which involves physical activity i.e. Karate, boxing, football, rugby etc.  However if the person is older then it would probably not be a good idea for them to take up these sorts of sports as their joints may not be able to take the strain.  Swimming is a great all round sport which helps keep muscles working properly. Walking is also a great general activity sport which is good for all ages.

Really all sports put you in shape. So if you think all you have to do to stay fit is to get out and play
