Three great games today. Russia/Chechs, USA/Canada, Big brother/little brother.

If Russia and USA meet in the medal round it should be good...

It looks like Russia will need to get by Canada first. Now that will be an awsum game.

    It was a great game . . .

However, as a transplanted Canadian, it was not the outcome I wanted. I imagine my fellow countrymen are in mourning this morning. One could make a forturne selling sackcloth & ashes on any streetcorner in Canada today. :>)

Is there a scenario that'd put the USA & Russia against each other in the medal round? That'd be neat, given it's the 20th anniversary of 1980's miracle on ice. It's also be a great matchup.

Anyways, congratulations & best wishes to the US Team.

After watching USA score in as little as 40 seconds last night, my stress levels hit the roof and I almost couldn't watch.  It was such an important game on so many levels, and unfortunately, Canada choked.

By no means would I count Cananda out. They have first class players. Canada's got a tough schedule, first Russia and then most likely Sweden. I'm confident Canada will make it to the metal round. The USA is going to have to play Finland or the Chechs (most likely the Chechs) another great game ether way. The intensity is going to be brutal.

I grew up watching Hockey Night In Canada and lived in Detroit, so you know I am a Red Wing fan and a fan of all hockey. USA beating Canada was a great game but it is not over yet. Go USA!!!

I did not enjoy the outcome of the game in question,
but I trust results of the rematch in the finals will be more enjoyable

I watched the Canada/German Game. Unfortunately, the biggest thing I can remember is the crowd chanting "we want Russia" lol.

      Canada all the way.

It is quite amazing how a hockey game can bring most of North America to a stand still.

THAT was a hockey game!  I hate to see Team USA so dejected after the loss, but I'm sure it's painful to come that close.

Both great teams. Thanks for giving us a killer competition!

Congrats to the Canadians even though I was pulling for USA.

An outstanding game... What a super way to end the Olympics.
I'm disappointed that the US lost, however I am proud of their effort. It was any bodies’ game.
    Congrats to the Canadians.
The best thing about this tournament is its encouragement of our youth to be envolved in hockey.

This game was an exhibition on how the sport of hockey is supposed to be played. The skill level was at it's highest form. If the NHL would cut the # of teams the talent may not be so diluted. This was the best game I have seen since the days of Gordie Howe.
