Yep! smile I didn't watch it live, though, because it was on at 2 AM here.  I got up to watch the replay of the match at 8 AM and when the game came on, my Mother-in-law (who lives with us) said, "Oh, they tied 1-1"  GRRRR!  She totally ruined it for me! mad Watched it anyway, though, and it was a really good game smile

I doubt that is the case.  She's Japanese, so that's not it.  She has a habit of doing this and my husband would always get mad at her, but she keeps on doing it.  Oh well sad

In that form, the Germans could even beat Scotland...

Seriously though, they were pretty impressive, especially compared with England's lacklustre effort.

Your right! A goal is a goal! big_smile

Also, I understand your perspective.. it's like someone telling you the ending to a movie, it's a less rewarding experience then since you know what's going to happen at the end.

I was pretty disappointed with the goal - luckily, it was in the first match and the team has time to make amends.

That said, I would have happily taken a point if you asked me before the match - the US are a good side smile

I'm so proud of our American guys! Now the question is, will soccer ever be called soccer worldwide;)hehe
Or will any team who allows us to score say it was a mistake on their part. Our guys are going to be giving teams a run for their money just as our girls did.

I thought it was an utterly pants game.  It was pedestrian, with some breathtakingly stupid mistakes.  Butter fingers doesn't cover it.  However, when England won the world cup in 66, they were pretty rubbish in the first rounds and only picked up in the semi-finals so hope springs eternal.  Shame Scotland didn't make it. It really is.
