   Would it be considered inappropriate to write a hub about the benefits of putting monostat (yes, THAT monostat) on your head for hair growth? I mean, would it get flagged and have the ads removed because of what it's used to treat under ordinary circumstances?

   Absolutely  loved the answers before mine. Gotta look at Mick's hub to see what it says; Everyday Miracles makes a valid point (if funny) point, and Khal is on my track so almost didn't answer. However, two amino acids natural to the body that may or may not appear in hub Khal suggested or MickS' do help. Biotin is actually a mineral (guys - have I got it right? not a vitamin but don't think an amino acid), but it does have an active way to attack baldness (know one person who got rid of one bald spot when started). The other is L-Lysine, which helps prevent hair loss. Works!

   For myself , i have never been worried. But I have been told that Curry leaves, boiled in coconut oil (a couple handful of leaves in 100 ml of oil) and then strained through a sieve helps. The oil that comes out is red in color and stimulates hair growth.

      I know this method does not work with every man, but simply eat a good diet and comb your hair regularly, it has worked for me, I am now 67 and still have a reasonable amount of hair up top, only a little thinner than when I was 17, white, not black.

   Currently, there is not an accepted, scientifically validated method to re-grow hair. However, multiple products can be used to stop hair-thinning. In the U.S. the two available products are the drug finasteride (brand name: Propecia) and minoxidil (brand name: Rogaine). It is not currently accepted that these drugs can re-grow hair. They are currently only indicated to prevent further loss. However, preliminary evidence suggests that long term treatment with these products may indeed promote re-growth of hair in some individuals.
   
   Surgery can be used to achieve the effect of re-growth, which involved the transplant of healthy hair follicles from one part of the body to the balding location.

   Personally, I am using Aloe Vera. And it's no problem for me because we have it as our household plant.
   
   What I do is massage it throughout my scalp and leave it for 30 minutes or longer. I usually do it when I wake up in the morning, leave it there until I take a bath.
   
   Occasionally, I am using coconut milk as well. Same think I do with the Aloe Vera, massage it on my scalp and through all my hairs and leave it for 30 minutes or longer. My wife, simply leave it for around 10 minutes, because she has to leave for work earlier than me.
   
   Again, no problem for the coconut for us... It's either we can get from my brother's farm or simply buy one at the market.
   
   The key is consistency, this won't get results overnight or a month. Do it always, you can do it everyday or every other day.
   
   Olive oil, I think is also a good one, but I haven't tried it. I'm happy with the Aloe Vera-Coconut Milk Combo.

   I am bald, as was my father, brother and grandfather. My adopted son is going bald at 28.
   
   Folks, it is not a big deal. I do not think my life would had been any better, more fulfilling or more successful, if I had retained my hair. The only problem I ever had when I tried to do the comb over with the part starting just above the ear. We have all done it and it does not work.
   
   I never knew my father with hair. I was the youngest of three children. I cannot picture him any other way. He was a good man and a good father. More hair would had not made him a better person.
