Full black eyeliner. How do you apply it without looking like a Panda Face?
Don't line your eyes fully as this most often shrinks the look of the eye. Only line from the centers out to the outer corner or the outer third. Use really thin lines and then blend slightly with a fingertip or cotton swab.
There are these cool little brushes and palettes of liquid liners at claires in the mall. It is easiest to do it with a brush.
You should go for a neutral shadow all of the eyelid up to the brow line. Go for a very dark shade of brown. Black can sometimes be too harsh Use this as a base on the lid. Start heavy near towards the lashes and blend upwards and out wards, achieving an effect of shading. Then line your top eyes with liquid eyeliner, flicks or just arches, however you prefer. Then take your khol to the the bottom lashes. Start heavy at the outer edges but finely follow the line of lashes. Do.Not. Colour. In. The. Inside. Lid. It will make your eyes minute and not sexy when half way through the night you're all clogged up with eyeliner!. Then use your make up brush, or a cotton bud with a little of the same brown eye shadow and blend the shadow and khol together. This avoids having a harsh, dark line. You can also go over your liquid eyeliner with a bit of khol and blend that for a smudgy, sultry effect. Layer on the mascara and your done. Beautiful.
Use a small angle brush and choose a neutral color. But since you mentioned black. I would prefer using the eyeliner brush or small angle! It works for me!
Draw a nice, thin line only for the upper lid. You can make it thicker to the end. Do not use anything on the lower lid - full black is full black and it looks amazingly good even only on one lid.
I'm asuming you've got pefectly shaped and set eyes: Using kohl, line the top lid and the inner lower lid. If you soften the top line with a soft brush (particularly if you're going for the 'smokey' look), then place dots of kohl between your lower lashes as close to the eye as possible, and blend and merge them with a brush. The liner should meet at the outer eye corner. The secret is to apply sparingly; you'll still get the 'full' look, and shouldn't look like a panda unless you've got very round eyes ... I've written a Hub about it. Oh, if you don't want the blended look, then just draw a thin line on the lower lid close to the lashes that meets the upper liner at the outer corner.
But there are so many techniques depending on your eye shape etc. I'd have to see you to know exactly what's best for you.
