how can i get my hair a dirty blonde color?
My hair was a bleach blonde color and i colored it with L'oreal Superior
Preference, Dark Blonde and it turned out a brassy brown color. can you give me any tips to get it a dirty blonde?
It seems that you must have a lot of underlying warm tones in your hair so you would need an ash base to counteract the brassiness. A word of warning though, you cannot lift color with another color successfully unless it has a high lift component. You may need some corrective work by a professional stylist.
Green tea-cher is right. What also helps is one of those matting finishing products for the 'surfer look'. There's a good one by Garnier.
Use a dynamic color line that is permanent but does not contain ammonia. I recommend Organic Color Systems. There is an excellent instructional video on Cleaner Blondes that I posted on a hub here http://hubpages.com/hub/Professional-Hair-Color
