Does anyone have a solution for tall boots that bag too much at the ankle?
I have a pair of tall boots that bag needlessly at the ankle. Does anyone have a solution for that besides buying new and higher-quality boots in the first place? Could I sew in "stays" like they use in corsets?
I would go to a cobbler and take them in with you and see if he can do something about it. They are the experts in footwear repairs/alterations.
An easy solution is to wear leg warmers that frees the feet but allows for padding of the lower legs where the boots are loose. Another solution is to visit your nearest shoe repair shop that can be located in most shopping malls and ask for their opinion on tall boots that bag too much at the ankle.
usually you will just try on the boots at the store to make sure they fit?
but if you can't do that, you will need thick ankle socks to put around and near the ankles (the part that is the loosest)
