How necessary are high-heeled shoes?
You will definitely agree with the statement that some heels are too high. Are they really essential?
No, they aren't essential. They can make you feel more confident and do wonders for legs, but they are horrible for your feet, ankles, and knees, so they shouldn't be worn that often.
High heel shoes are completely unnecessary. They're damaging and dangerous. The only people who benefit from high heeled shoes are podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons.

There was a time when you could find a variety in heel heights for women from very flat to about 3 inches with the average dress heel being about 2 to 2-1/2 inches. I saw a news report where few runway models where falling over because of the shoes..
So, why would they be necessary.
