The Hermes handbag I bought from <snipped link>
A hub on handbags would probably get loads of traffic.
One that I got from Target. It is big enough for my things, is cute, practical, nice. It fits me
my gucci. its beautiful, soft, unique and just a little bit over the top! I love it.
Hi frienz ,
Thanx for all your comments, very appreciated. I personally love handbags where there are no pockets in them . Specially pink and red onez.
You know, I don't care if I had Bill Gates-Warren Buffet kind of money I just can't see spending some ungoddly amount of money on a handbag/purse.
If it's over $ 50.00 I'm not going to be buying it.
I about threw up when I saw that woman on the Real Housewifes Of New York go out and pay $15,000 for a bag..OMG!!OMG!!OMG!! I just wanted to slap the crap out of her!! Go get a cheap $40.00 bag at Target and donate the $14,960 to a charity..Some people are so self-centered and concered about how they appear to others. It's all really kind of sad when you think about it. WoW...did that come off as all judgey...is judgey even a word?? I didn't think so. LoL.. Ok, how about judgmental...didn't mean to sound that way.... much!
Let people spend $15,000 on a bag. But don't let them do it on TV. It's obscene!
To the question: I've got so many (and use so many) bags, I can't decide which is my favourite.
I agree with stormryder
I have One handbag and that's all I Want to have!
StormRyder, I could not agree with you more. I think my last handbag came from Meijer. I absolutely think spending big money on handbags is insane. I abuse my bags so much. My sister paid a couple of hundred dollars on one of them Coach bags which was even the sale price. I tell her all the time how insane that is.
Must I choose? My favorite is my black leather Coach that hubby gave me years ago. I have a few others that I bought at those knock off purse parties for cheap & wow - they have lasted forever.
I don't really care too much about the label. I like looks and function. I have a few Kathy's I love and a simple black coach.
it has to work and be easy to get in and out of. and not be too big.
I have a big, spring green leather hobo bag that I love. It has room for everything.
A big leather across the body bag that I bought in TK Maxx a few years ago for the princely sum of... £12.99 (less than $20). I'm sure it would have been more but it was missing a price tag and the checkout person just said the first price that came into her head, because there was a queue behind me and it was nearly closing time
If I had the money I would happily spend - say - $100 or $150 for a good quality leather bag but I can't see much point in spending any more. And $15,000 is just bonkers, IMO.
The first bag I can grab before going out. Usually a cloth job from somewhere or other, with ads on it.
None. I go Purseless and Proud. I know this doesn't work for everyone, but I will never again be dominated by a handbag. All the reasons are in my hub on the subject.
Just yesterday I purchased my dream handbag. I spotted it a few years ago in an Oprah magazine. When I looked it up, it sold for $600. Not an amount even close to what I consider appropriate for a handbag. But, yet it's always called my name. It's a Brahmin Toasted Almond purse. It's Italian leather and has gorgeous warm colors. I have been deligently searching on eBay for years now, waiting for the right purse, the right price and the right time. It all came together yesterday morning. This particular purse retails for $355. The wallet retails for $155. I got both brand new with free shipping for $189. I can't wait to get it.
I am not typically a name-brand buyer, however, I came across a well-worn, dark brown woven leather Fossil bag on Ebay, and I paid a whopping $8 for it, and that included shipping. It's a bit smaller than I'm used to, but I like it very much. The size fits just what I need. I've owned many bottomless pit bags in my day, you know, the ones that hold everything including the kitchen sink
On more shopping trips than I care to remember, it was always, can you hold this? can I put this in your pocketbook, until I was walking around with what now was a 50 lb bag. So glad those days are gone.
I like the leather and the shiny ones, because they look like soooooo fashionable...
I once put a handbag over my head and ran through a shopping centre...I fell over a bench and was escorted out of the place by security!!
My very favorite is a large tote bag/purse with a pink and purple image of Tinkerbell on the side. It's black, but I think it's made of canvas, very cute and very easy to carry around, plenty of pockets near the top to keep organized with. I've had it forever, it seems, so I can't remember how much I paid for it.
I've got a few other handbags too. I just don't carry them as much

I definitely have a current "fav" handbag. It's a large red leather bag with plenty of pockets, including a special one for my all important diary. It has a shoulder strap and is excellent for traveling. The other special thing about my handbag is that I bought it from my friend's company (Konev) which is New Zealand based. They have really innovative designs and use great colors. In the past I've tried small handbags but, for me, they don't work, so I'm sticking with my large bag!
I like Chloe ... can't afford it, though! It's feminine and the styles are pretty classic, I think.
I simply adore Gucci and Prada collection.. these two brands are perfect and adored by my girl friend and me.. loved the designs and fabric..
Right now it is a Steve Madden Raspberry colored ruffle bag. I got it on sale and I love it.
A handbag that does not have too many compartments is fine with me
Louis Vuitton Bell medium handbag and Alto actually any Vuitton bag in brown canvas classic style slowly trying to add to my collection. Love Love Love

Carine Roitfeld the glamorous editor of French Vogue is known never to carry a handbag. And no I have never seen pictures of her with a briefcase, holdall, platic bag. So I'm curious - does she have someone following her carrying everything? I've had a tiny Lulu Guiness bag for a...

Well I'm just in a doozy. I dislocated my shoulder last weekend, had to go to ER, x-rays and then they reset the shoulder. Now I'm in a sling but I still can't raise my arm more than a few inches. So I come to my fellow hubbers here who have such a wealth of info on so many things....is this normal...

I have a pair of black Steve Madden boots I bought in Brooklyn at a huge bargain for $25 about 7 years ago, and even though the zippers are all broken, I keep wearing them. I have bought $90 replacements, so it isn't like that... They just work! The others are OK, but just aren't...
