How to Access Android Memory Card and Transfer Pictures, Movies and Music from your Computer
This is one of the questions I get more than any other when it comes to getting pictures off of a memory card with a Android device without moving the memory card from the device. (I am in the wireless industry) This will allow you to use your USB cable to get the pictures directly to your computer AND to access your memory card as a storage device.
Ok, so this is going to be a brief article on how to mount your Android device as MASS Storage, which allows you to access the SD Memory card in the phone just by connecting the phone to the USB cable and the USB cable to your computer (PC.)
Step 1: Turn on the phone and tap the USB icon in the upper left.
Step 2: Tap on "USB Connected." This should pop up on your Android after step 1.
Step 3 : Tap on "Mount" which should appear as an option after Step 2.
No you can unplug your phone from your computer and when you plug it back in your should be the tone notifying you that you have attached a MASS storage device (just like a thumb drive) and you should get the option to open and view files.
There you go! Easy as Cupcake...or froyo...or eclair
