ASUS is one of the more popular brands of mini laptops. With Disney, they've teamed up to build a perfect laptop for children. This laptop is geared for kids ages 6-12.

The Disney Netpal is durable and has a reinforced mechanical design, which is great because children can be rough with their toys. If you're going to spend $300 for a laptop for your child, then you want to make sure that it will be durable.

ASUS integrated a Disney Desktop that features a 2D menu that displays a Disney theme browser, widgets, and applications. The Disney Netpal by ASUS features display rows of Mickey Mouse icons, but kids can customize their themes with one of 10 different themes that include- Cars, Club Penguin, classic Disney characters, Disney fairies, Disney princesses, vintage Mickey Mouse, Toy Story, and WALL-E. There are even themes for older kids, such as Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers.

The mini laptop includes Disney-developed applications such as Disney mix for music and media, and Disney Pix for picture customization and organization. Disney Pix features Disney Bobblehead software that allows kids to insert their face on top of bodies and download them into videos and postcards so that they can play crazy dance scenes. There's even a Radio Disney widget that streams real-time music. It even lets kids submit song requests.

It wouldn't be a kid's laptop if it didn't have pre-installed games. ASUS has included a driving game, numbers game, memory game, and a photo scrapbook.

The overall interface of the laptop is easy to use; remember it's tailored to kids. There's a visual interface with simple instructions. As soon as you take the mini laptop out of the box, the browser can be launched to kid-friendly websites.

The 2D gadget tray features bold icons that are easy to access. There are 15 easily accessible widgets that include a stopwatch, digital memo pad, and a calculator.

The Disney laptop allows parents to create parental controls that allow parents to pre-select email correspondence options, browser settings, the websites that your kids are allowed to visit, and the programs they're allowed to use.
