    It has a lot to do with your file size. It isn't necessary to load a full screen image in hubpages. Scale it down to the 400 px by ?? range and it should load faster. Full size images are only useful when viewing on the entire screen.

    Not for me. The picture uploader is fast as usually. Maybe it´s your internet connection.

    I have a very slow internet connection, it seems to upload faster if I re-save my pictures in jpeg format (by going into paint program and simply hitting save). They upload WAY faster.

    Launch Adobe Photoshop-( CS3 or 7.0 )
    Go to File
    Click on open
    Select your photo, click open
    Go to File
    Select -"Save forWeb and Devices"
    Below the preset (at the right top) two drop-down menus are there, one to select "optimized file format" and the other "compression quality".
    From the first drop-down menu (optimized file format) choose "JPEG" and from the below one select "medium".
    In "Quality" slider drag it to "50".
    Leave other options unchanged.
    Save it. Thats all.
