Has anyone ever been hacked and if yes what can or did you do about resolving the matter?
A friend of mine is going through this situation and your feedback on the matter would be very much appreciated. She has filed police reports and such. I am aware of fire walls and advance fire walls however what would you do in a situation like this if you were a victim? How would you handle it? Would you wait until the authorities do something about it ( it has been a minute) or would you bash the guy's face in for invading your private life or both?
Don't get me wrong I'm not the kind of guy who likes to pick a fight (I'm a peace maker) however I'm not afraid to finish one, especially if one has a little evidence on them. Of course waiting for the authorities is best so that I will not risk getting in trouble with the law as well however one way or the other that guy has got to pay (will pay) and pay big he bill.
Its nice to see you are concerned for a friend; however I agree with your position on remaining a peace maker and leave the police to do their job. You don't want to sink down to a negative level and get yourself into trouble. Best of luck Darryl to your friend

Has my email account been hacked? In my junk email folder this evening, I found a message supposedly sent from my own email address. The subject line has spelling errors, and is not something I'd send myself. Does this mean the account has been hacked, and if so, what should I do?

How can you tell if your email address has been hacked into and messages read?Particularly interested to know if there is any way of telling that this has happened if the perpetrator doesn't cause any damage such as leaving viruses.

I have seen mulitple reports of corrupted RSS feeds, hubs in favorite topics belong to somebody else, etc. It looks to me as if the site may have been hacked. Or is it a database problem of some kind?
