While one of the harder languages for me, I really enjoy, and still find myself turning to for large data processing and sysadmin, PERL.
Most of the programming I do involves extracting data from a SQL database for redistribution to our user base. The users use Microsoft Office products to format the data for their purposes. I like using Visual Basic (VB.NET) to write quick apps to manipulate the data. It's my favorite computer programming language for it's simple and easy to understand syntax, pseudo-English style, and versatility. I'm certain there are better languages, but it suits my purpose well.
