I think that Wordpress is hard to beat; it has thousands of free plugins, loads of support on the forums (generally if you run into an issue, someone else has had it too), great spam filters and is very easy to use.

There's also a wealth of tutorials out there for it.

Any of the two will do. Blogger and Wordpress are both user friendly, with easy to manage widgets, having nice free templates and easy to post blogs.

Both of have their own advantage & disadvantage. If you want to create the blog to earn some extra revenue then go for blogger, blogger support google adsense. And google ad-sense is the good source to generate extra revenue. And you create blog just for simple promotion of your business/services or provides some information then go for wordpress, because its has lots of plugins by which you promote your business or services. Wordpress ( free Blog) not support google adsense.
