    Can you identify this object.

It has been photographed from an unusual angle. Just for fun.

That was my first impression too, a submarine. But on reflection if it is it would seem to be new and high tech and doesn't appear to be in dock but in an almost stadium type place - with what looks like houses in the background! Can't wait to find out what this is- great one Michael!

I would say it is a submarine in a drydock... but then again, I could be wrong.

Hi Alastar, you guys are too good. It is in fact HM Ocelot a diesel electric sub. The last submarine built at the Chatham Naval Dockyard and where in now lives. In dry dock as you rightly pointed out.
      Well done to all.
      Panhandle Ha ha

Looks like some kind of camera set up at the top of a sports arena but then I don't have my glasses on.

I think its a submarine. The surrounding area looks like a stadium. A good photograph.

Would it be  a stick-shift?  Possibly a planer? Or a golf club? A baseball bat?

Submarine, I see 6 tubes in the front, based on the design i'd say she's a newer model but I don't recognize her as an American model. Russian?
