    Should I buy this laptop? Any other suggestions?

    Is Asus K55VM-SX086D a good laptop? I am planning to buy one.

    Any other suggestions? I am seeking good battery life with a minimum  of 2gb dedicated graphics.

    It all depends on what your needs are. What you want to use the computer for? That laptop is labeled as a "Gaming Laptop". Is that what you're looking for?

      Mostly I am going to be programming and designing on it. I would want it to run some Autodesk softwares and play games like Skyrim and Call of Duty...

      Then it sounds like a good fit for you. You have a good CPU, multi-core, a pretty good graphics adapter with lots of internal memory, lots of RAM, and a good storage capacity. You'll need all of those for your designing/programming software and games

    Based on my knowledge of Asus as well as other friends' opinions on Asus, they are pretty decent laptops as far as battery life, quality and a good operating system as well. I would say go for it. As Thief12 says though it does depend on the purpose your going to use it for.
