Do you really worry about your HUBPAGES rating - If so, WHY?
I have noticed that HUBPAGES ratings are continually modified during controversial debates. This rating modification may or may not reflect a truthful depiction of the individual as they wander through a truth vs deceit avenue.
People have too much free time on their hands . I don't really bother about HP ratings.
It is not a matter of worrying, because they are going to have no impact on my life. However, there is a level of curiosity that pushes me to try and understand things like Hub scores, why people eat raw fish and why anyone believes what is written in the tabloids. I seldom find the answer and my life goes on, but I am still curious.
I don't really concern myself with the rating system. I just like to play video games, then write about those video games. It would be nice to see my hubber score at 100 just once. In the end, though, it's all about (writing about) the games for me.
The thing is the system is so shocking, HubScore - as others have rightfully said - is nothing to be concerned about. The automated up and down system for this Score is an obscure one, because if I'm inactive my score can remain at a peak, but publishing a well written and engaging Hub, it can plummet. It's by far one of the worst scoring systems I've ever seen, and it seriously needs more tweaks before I put more faith and worry into it.

Quite a few of my Hubs have related Hubs. I try to put a few links in a Hub to another related Hub when it seems appropriate. But I see that the editors often remove them. I have tried to find out why in past forum postings without any luck. I assume it's because of loss of page rank. Is that the...

If updating a hub that is featured, say your best hub, a Hub-of-the-Day hub, a contest winner, or such, puts it into a no-index state until it's reviewed again, why would one want to ever update it?I have such a hub that has an almost constant broken link symbol. Every time I've checked the link in...

Is it fair to give bad ratings/feedback to pages/blogs you personally disagree with?If I come across an article that I strongly disagree with, but the author did not resort to name calling, over-generalization or stereotyping and expressed his/her opinion in an intelligent and reasonable matter I...

Is it of value to write short poems on Hubpages and does it affect your rating negatively?I often see Hubpages that have just 3 lines of poetry, with or without an image to complement it. Does this positively or negatively affect your overall rating on Hubpages? I understood a 300 word minimum with...

I am frustrated shopping for good movies to watch. With the old fashion movies, the old fashion rating system worked. Now with Netflix and other streaming movies our choices are greater and yet our ratings don't tell us much.I don't mind sex and language but when there is violence, I...

My feelings have been hurt. I love HubPages and have spent time commenting, creating, writing, casually reading and using HubPages as a resource for research each and every day. And during a time when I have experienced a death in the family, a grandchild in the hospital and even some...
