My website was hacked recently. My questions is what benefits do they get from it?
I think some just enjoy doing this because it shows that they have power. People in powerful situations love vulnerable people. If you run an e-commerce site, then your sales would take a hit. And if you rely on adsense or banner advertising, this could take revenue away from you.

It had no Hubpage money in it , but I froze my personal checking account associated with Paypal. I sm receivng emails, I believe, from a Paypal fraud site and also Paypal.

Yahoo has been in the news lately ,because some hackers broke into their data base and stole thousands of passwords..I've had to log in and out repeatedly and change passwords often Now twitter is reporting the same...
