Windows 10.
I have a pop-up that keeps telling me "Windows 10 is ready to install." If you have installed Windows 10, please tell us what you think of it.
Thanks,
I updated to windows 10 yesterday, it's got some pretty nice features in it, so I would recommend it. Especially if your a fan of Windows 7 because they brought some stuff back from it.
i like my windows 10, but have run into problems with websites not ready for it. these websites use internet explorer and 10 only has edge.
try using chrome instead, maybe it will help
I've ditched W10 but I remember seeing IE11 somewhere in there. I think they've just made less blatant because it is scheduled for eventual termination. The only thing I use IE for is to download other browsers, Firefox in my case.
I found widows 10 very handy with some new amazing features, you may install and try windows 10 and see whether you like it or not, because in case you do not like it, you can change back to your windows 8 (previous one) within a month of installing windows 10, and can still again change back to widows 10 if your mind changes, so it is worth a try!
I am loving it. I had Win 7, and never got 8, but got the Free 10 upgrade. i have heard from some of my more paranoid Facebook friends that by accepting the free upgrade, Windows can police your content, and will turn in illegal activity.
I am using Chrome, and Firefox with Win 10, it wants you to use edge, but you can use what you want. You may have to re-set the default browser a couple of times, but that is no problem.
I can finally stream movies on my computer.
I like the way that the user can choose to use the tiles or can use the pre-tile choices for apps and files.
Two Thumbs up and 4 Stars so far.
With v7 installed, I waited for years for v8 and v8.1 to step into the past. I joined the insider's club, got the v10 ISO, tried a clean install, wasn't amazed, returned to a v7 backup. I then installed v10 as a free upgrade, so it kept all my stuff. It did a great job of making everything work, but nothing more. It used more memory, mostly due an inflated notskernl, and everything looked kind of dopey.
I've now tried Windows 10 several times, several ways, and don't see that it upgraded anything. So now I'm back to Windows 7 Home Premium, with the Get Windows 10 update uninstalled... big waste of time.
But my ex-XP PC is over ten years old, so I guess I can't complain.
O.K. so I tried installing Windows 10 on my laptop that is running Windows 7. It took forever to download and it took at least that long to install. My screen icons were huge, like in the safe mode. I did some research and found that the video adapter in my laptop is not supported by Windows 10 and they don't know if it ever will be. So I was able to revert back to Windows 7, seamlessly and everything seems to be O.K. So if you have problems with Windows 10, it's easy to get back to Wn 7 or Vista.

Is it worth upgrading to Windows 10? 7 is offering a free upgrade. What are the pros/cons?I'm not sure I want to take advantage of the offer. Has anyone tried Windows 10 yet? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm comfortable with Windows 7. Does the latest version provide a better user experience?...

So I've been getting the Windows 10 pop-ups for the last several months and I've been clicking the "no thanks" button on every one. This morning, I wiggled my trackball to wake my PC from sleep mode and fracking Windows 10 had installed itself and only needed me to press the accept or...

Now that official support had ended, do I really have to give up my old OS? Windows is very pushy about saying I should just buy a new computer, and not even bother upgrading, even though they also were very pushy about trying to get me to upgrade my existing system to Windows 10 for free a couple...

So far I have upgraded Windows 10 on two of my computers—a desktop that had Windows 8.1 and a laptop that had Windows 7. Perhaps its just too early to tell but I have mixed feelings regarding this new operating system. I have three more computers that are eligible for the upgrade and I am wondering...

I thought I was buying the whole Windows 7 from Dell when I wanted to upgrade from Vista. I now find out that this is just an "Upgrade" which means that Vista is still on my hard drive, just with Windows 7 running. I have to keep Vista for 7 to work. Dell tells me that Vista is still...
