Plugged in, not charging, what should I do?
My laptop is DELL, I plugged the charger, but it's not charging. When I hover on battery icon it says "plugged in, not charging", what should I do?
Once I faced this problem. The problem may not be with your Laptop. In my case a problem with my adapter was detected which I got rectified. It is working fine since then.
I'd go for bringing it to a technician. It might be the charger (which is easy to fix: just buy a new one) but then again your battery may be broken or worse, the socket is.
1. Turn on the laptop
2. Unplug the power cord from the laptop and blow several times into the end of the recepacle that plugs into the laptop
3. Blow several times into the laptop where the power plugs into
Might sound silly but it works!

Should you leave a laptop plugged in and charging during use?Or should you unplug it whenever you have sufficient charge. In my experience many laptops fail to hold charge for more than an hour at best, despite what their specifications might indicate. Can it cause laptops to overheat etc.?
