What do you think about the break through on detecting Gravity?
Verifies Einstein Theory
If you mean the new breakthrough regarding 'Gravity Wave' detection, I expect it's every bit a profound as the scientists are claiming it will be. But if you talking about 'gravity' per se...well, it's so well known that it's in our genes. Newborn babies are frightened of two things, we are told: loud noises and falling. Falling is, of course, the pull of gravity on our physical bodies towards the center of the Earth.
Of course it has been studied: Isaac Newton and his observation of the apple dropping from a tree, and the later experiments with various objects to ascertain and determine what compares with what before the Law of Gravity became what it is today.
Where the new discovery could come into real use is if humans can learn to 'focus' gravity so that it's pull is magnified many times over on a small spot. Imagine what this could do for lifting objects into space. Goodbye big rocket boosters, solid-state fuel, and all that goes along with that. Here comes silent, pollution-free power.

God didn't create the universe -- it was actually a result of the inevitable laws of physics, British physicist Prof Stephen Hawking has concluded. In his latest book, The Grand Design, Hawking said: "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing....

I know you are going to answer 'gravity', but it is just the name of the phenomenon. The question is how(the mechanism) objects fall to the ground? How earth attract objects, that is far away?
