How to properly store hard disk drives?

I'm moving house and I have five 3.5 inch HDDs. But they're not in cases, laptops or enclosures.

What's the best way to keep them stored safely for transit?

I would rap them in a static free bag (like the ones they come with) then keep them in a tight non-mobile area

Bubble-bag wrapped with those thermocoles could be one good option.

If I have them in static free bags and wrapped up in the bubble-wrap do you guys think I'll be able to stack them on top of each other or side by side in a brief case?

I think that should be ok as long as the brief case is not under the hood smile

Side by side in a brief case is just fine.
