    Okay- I have the HTML code... but don't understand how the heck to send it as an email so the actual visual appears. I though that it was done as an attachment, but???

    I must be missing a step, because I am lost on how to make this work.
    Any help would be a big help

    Also- can you use HTML with ail merge?

    (FYI- I am new to HTML codes-so excuse the confusion if the question doesn't make a whole lot of sense)

      If you are using hotmail when you click on new on the top left of the e-mail is a heading called rich text like so Rich text ▼ with a drop down menu like below. Click on edit in HTML then paste your code then reclick on the same menu as before and change it back to rich text and viola job done!!!!

          * Rich text
          * Edit in HTML
          * Plain text

          Most e-mail accounts should have a similar layout just search around for a heading like mentioned before or it may even be under formatt as the heading. Glad to help !!!

      I think the real challenge in HTML emails is displaying images. And if you are looking for a solution to that problem, i think you have to host them on your own server or on the server of email distribution service you are using.

      HTML emails are just a whole bundle of fun!

      First things first: Any images in your HTML need to be hosted elsewhere for it to work in all email clients. So you need to have a website, or web address somewhere which you can put the photos then link to them. (If you don't, get in touch with me however you do it on HubPages and I can give you some.) Other alternative is to use an image hosting service like Flickr or Photobucket.

      Also, CSS (if you're using it) must be 'inline' so with the element. For example: <div style="color:#fff;" and so on.

      As for sending it, it all depends on your email provider and creator. What are you using? On Outlook you're best bet is Google or another Hubber (I'm on a Mac). On Macs, you create your email as a web page, open it up in Safari then click 'Mail Content of this Page' in File.

      There are also some great services like MailChimp which have templates and allow you to put in and edit your own HTML then send the emails. MailChimp has a free account which may be good for you.

      Hope that helps!
