OK, I broke a long standing rule of mine today, and upgraded a software application on the day it launched.
And I got burnt.
Many of the Addons which I rely upon (and most importantly the RoboForm menu bar) don't work in the new version.
Oh well, Hopefully I can roll back to the previous version.
And wait until the new release settles down, and addons are upgraded.
EDIT: in case anyone needs it, v2.0.0.14 isd available from
http://www.brothersoft.com/firefox-download-111811.html
(Couldn't find anything earlier than 3.0 on the firefox site)
I was lucky, only a few add-ons perished in the upgrade. One importnat one for me was lost but it is easily replaced by google's toolbar I guess.
A lot of my add-ons were visual ones like a theme called "FoxDie Blue" and the rounded URL/search boxes.
Eric - One of my people warned me against this very issue.
Coincidentally, it was one of the people you rejected
Yes, I train them well before I send them on.
The rest of my people warned me about it too - but I didn't listen.
(P.S. That guy is also an expert in making those artery clogging breakfasts you are so fond of.
Given half a chance, he'll have your cholesterol count up in the 20's in no time. )
Fortunately, the only one I regularly use that hasn't been updated yet is del.icio.us. Unfortunately, I use that one a LOT, so I'm hoping they get it done very soon. Preferably yesterday.
ETA: Yay! It's up!
Hmm... anyone know if the Alexa sparky tool has been updated for the new firefox, before I go updating my work computer?

Is it worth upgrading to Windows 10? 7 is offering a free upgrade. What are the pros/cons?I'm not sure I want to take advantage of the offer. Has anyone tried Windows 10 yet? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm comfortable with Windows 7. Does the latest version provide a better user experience?...

Now that official support had ended, do I really have to give up my old OS? Windows is very pushy about saying I should just buy a new computer, and not even bother upgrading, even though they also were very pushy about trying to get me to upgrade my existing system to Windows 10 for free a couple...

Since yesterday I can't seem to run videos from YouTube. They are all choppy and stick often.I upgraded my Java, that is all I can think of.Any idea how I can fix it or if it is indeed Java that is the problem? I even uninstalled my browser and re-installed it.

My affiliate code is preceded by a "UA". Does that mean it was automatically upgraded? Do I need to do anything else before the Aug 20 deadline. This whole process is very confusing.

I'm considering buying the upgrade because I am sick and tired of Windows Vista running too slow. On top of that I have problems and am waiting on my mother posting out my Win disk to me (I left it at her house last time I visited - but she's 2000 miles away!)so that I can see if I have damaged win...
