Each time I write on a Facebook group of page, there's always that link that is off topic and irrelevant. Each time I post something, there's always that ad that read, "This stuff is amazing! My best friend Jessica did the same diet and lost an incredible amount of weight..." popping up! Ditto for those handbag, work at home, and other diet ads!
Those links are so irrelevant and make me sick! If you are on Facebook, have you seen those pestering links on the walls of groups or pages! Does that bother you? Do you report/spam them! They are so annoying!
Those adverts are paid for, meaning they're Facebook's main source of income. So I doubt reporting them will do much good unless they are extremely inappropriate.
It's not like facebook is the first site to ever have annoying adverts.
WryLilt,
You and talfonso are referring to two different things. The ads talfonso is speaking of are not the sponsored links on the side of every page on facebook. They are the spam that gets posted on people's/group's/pages walls as a result of friends/members/fans being hacked. Reporting those does a lot of good as they are condsidered spam and the offers are usually fake. It's stuff like "OMG I can't believe this! I just got a free $500.00 WalMart Gift Card! They are still giving them away! Go to [insert link here] to get yours before they're gone!" or some similar crap.

Can we put our Hubs on PAID ads on FB, etc? Yes, I do realize the cost of the ads is more than the how much we get per click. I'm sure I sound crazy. But, seriously, is that allowed?

The "million-dollar question" about the Facebook ads centered on how the Russians knew whom to target. How did the Russians knew where to direct their ads? The Russian bought Facebook ads to amplify political discord. The ads were bought through Facebook's self-service ad model, which...

Is it just me, or do the adsense adds that pop up often have nothing to do with the topic of your hub? Is there anything that can be done to have some control over the ads that come up (and to make them more relevant)?
