Can we put our Hubs on PAID ads on FB, etc? Yes, I do realize the cost of the ads is more than the how much we get per click. I'm sure I sound crazy.
But, seriously, is that allowed?
Yes, this is allowed; you can promote your Hubs however you like so long as you're following the rules at the locations you're promoting (meaning you aren't posting links on Forums where it isn't permitted, etc).
However, as you and Marisa mention, taking the cost of promotion into account, you would be extremely unlikely to make any kind of return on your investment, and would end up only spending money where you hoped to make money.
I don't think there's anything illegal about it, but you'd have to be mad to do it as you say. If you're going to invest in advertising, do it for your own website not on a shared site.
