Just wondering if anyone else who uses hostgator for hosting their domains has had any recent issues.
I've been with them about a year and have never had any problems till this month. Two different websites I own have had issues loading - and no it's not my internet connection, I had other people check.
Is this just me?
I've had occasional issues with my site on hostgator going down in the past couple of months. I'd recommend giving their support a call or chatting with them online, they are usually very helpful. After I reported my issues I haven't had any since.
Unless you have a dedicated server from HG then you are on a shared server. If someone else on that server is using a lot of resources it can cause problems for everyone. If you talk to them they can look into it in more detail.

I'm planning on starting a website in the New Year but don't know which hosting company to go with. Hostgator is often recommended but I just read that FutureQuest is really good. Which hosting company do you use for your website and is there a particular company that you recommend? Thanks.

I bought a Godaddy domain (so don't tell me that was dumb, because it's already paid for, so it doesn't matter if you agree or not with that choice lol). So, should I use their hosting ($2.99 a month if I pay 36 months out), or should I get someone else? If so, who and why?

I want to start my own blog/website, maybe a few. Been checking the different hosts, reading reviews, seeing what they offer, paying attention to the ones Hubbers use; and I'm not certain which is the best. Hostgator seems good in terms of price and what is offered, can use multiple domains....

My capsules sometimes save and sometimes - well most of the time do not save. I click and click. I refresh the page. I change browsers. But still I cannot finish creating a Hub. This is extremely frustrating. Any thoughts?

It seems that from July 2018 Google Chrome will be marking all sites that do not have an SSL certificate as 'not secure'. For your own personal websites have you been buying an SSL certificate for them or just leaving them? Do you think it makes a difference in search rankings to have an SSL...
