What Are The Top Things To See In Washington DC?
What are the best things to see in Washington DC? What are the best things to see in Washington DC at night? What are the best things to see in Washington DC with kids?
The National Air and Space Museum on the Mall and it's part of the Smithsonian museums so it's free. The exhibits are amazing.
A visit to Washington DC can be fun, educational and inexpensive. It's a trip the whole family can enjoy while you visit all their wonderful museums. read more
The Lincoln Memorial. The steps offer the best view of the mall The Washington Monument is very cool.
The Korean war memorial is tool. It was supposed to have 38 soldiers to correspond with the 38th parallel but they ran out of money. The Marine Memorial, the other side of the Key bridge from Washington is amazing too. There is lots of room in the park for kids to run and play. Frequently you see people playing Frisbee and the like there. The list is long. I walked the entire mall the last time I was there, but that is 8 miles if you go all the way around. The White house is great, but you need to ask your Congressman for tickets months in advance.. For museums I agree with Cassie. Air and Space is awesome.
It's been forty years since I visited D.C. The things I enjoyed were the zoo, Smithsonian Museum and a steamboat ride down the Potomac River which took us to an Amusement park on an island. The trip back was around midnight and the city was beautiful with all the lights as we cruised toward it. I hope they still have those cruises for others to enjoy.
