Do we want to be like Chicago?
Chicago reached 40 homicides just in January 2013. Their gun laws are extremely strict and look at how that helped them. So why does the government want us to be like them by giving us more gun laws? I don't want more deaths in my city.
No Leah, we don't. Stricter gun laws are not the answer. Respect for human life is. This starts at home.
Absolutely not. It's cold as heck up there, the wind blows too hard, and everyone has a funny accent...
...also, Obama is fond of the place...which makes me extremely suspect.
Their silly gun laws have increased the violent crime rate...but we must ask ourselves if that wasn't indeed the plan all along.
People always seem to overlook the fact that they have very strict gun control and a through the roof homicide rate! If people are dedicated to killing another person, they are going to do it, regardless of whether it's legal to purchase a gun.
Cite the through the roof homicide rate. Just because you make the claim does not make it true. Show me the numbers. Because I say you're wrong.
Here is the proof:

Why do you think that gun laws don't help with crime? The U.S. has some of the least strict gun laws but an extremely high rate of murder compared to other countries, why is that ?

Some people already have a lot of guns. So if gun laws are passed, how will the government actually get guns away from people. Some guns are registered and some are not, how could the government find out, and how could the government actually take guns away from people?
