I am a mountain man, cities are not generally my thing. However, I would have to say to draw parallel comparisons between the two. Look at gang related violence, crime statistics in general, check out the schooling in both, the taxes, how hard is it to get around both cities. I hear parking in New York costs a fortune. Check out bus routes, bike access, cost of food, rent. Think about all of the important things like that and do a compare and contrast piece. Sum it up with which one truly looks to be better, then of coarse leave it up to the reader to draw their own heart felt conclusions. Also, you might think about what there is for fun stuff to do, entertainment, etc. To me, Los Angeles is sounding better for that reason.
